Tatkal Marriage Certificate

A Tatkal marriage certificate is a valid document that serves the same purpose as a regular marriage certificate. In situations where a couple requires a marriage certificate urgently, the Indian government provides the option of obtaining a Tatkal marriage registration certificate.

This expedited process allows couples to obtain their marriage certificate faster than the regular procedure but at an additional cost.

This option is beneficial for individuals who require a marriage certificate quickly for official purposes and cannot wait for the standard registration process to be completed.

Also, the couple must visit the SDM office with an individual wedding invitation and an Aadhar card.

After paying the Tatkal marriage registration fee, the couple will be given an appointment to meet with the SDM.

Next, the SDM will ask the couple, questions for authentication purposes. Once this process is complete, the couple will receive a personalised certificate and the certificate will be uploaded to their district ID within 24 hours.

The application fee for a Tatkal marriage certificate is more than the normal registration process for a marriage certificate.
